It is an initiative of the International Network of Abertis Chairs, present in five countries: Spain, France, Puerto Rico, Chile and Brazil, conceived as a tool for innovation and collaboration between the university and the company

·          Thanks to a three-year agreement, both companies will jointly explore innovative solutions to reduce the impact of traffic and contribute to sustainability, offering a better service to users of the Abertis Group's international toll roads.

• The selected works will become finalists for the Abertis International Award, which is chosen from the winners of the respective categories from all the countries where these University Chairs are established.

• It is a shocking communication action that has captured the interest of the public in a place where it is not common to receive this type of message, movie theatres.
• The institutions involved will actively collaborate to encourage participation in the campaign through social networks.

• The campaign features a real account of a fatal accident caused by drink-driving and will be shown at the Wolf, Sala Apolo, Club Twenties, Sutton and Legend Club nightclubs in Barcelona, running from 14 to 28 December.   
• The aim is to make the initiative an impactful, shocking and viral event and to raise awareness of the risks of driving after consuming alcohol or drugs over the Christmas period.

• Tonight, at Plaza Barceló, volunteers affected by a spinal injury due to traffic accidents will address young people to remind them of the importance of not mixing alcohol, drugs and driving.
• Municipal Police agents will also participate in the action by performing preventive breathalyzer controls. Red Cross volunteers also collaborate in the campaign.
• Inmaculada Sanz, spokesperson for the Madrid City Council and delegate for Security and Emergencies, and Georgina Flamme, Manager of the Abertis Foundation, have presented this morning the collaboration of both entities in this initiative to raise awareness of road safety.

• The impact of traffic accidents with child victims, an international study by the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) conducted by the Abertis Foundation, seeks to raise awareness of the negative effects that traffic accidents can cause, especially those that infolve vulnerable groups such as children.

Abertis promotes the International Road Safety Forum Network in the countries where it is present, with the aim of bringing together public representatives and specialists to advance road safety.
